Friendship

1. The quality or condition of being friends.
2. A friendly relationship: formed many new friendships over the summer.
3. Friendliness; good will: a policy of friendship toward other nations.1

Making new friends while helping others find their soul-mate.

As a member of Joined In Jesus you have the option of searching for friendships, especially if you are not seeking a partner for a serious relationship at the moment.

Joined In Jesus makes it easy to locate new friends with a variety of features.

1. You can perform a search for friendships only. By performing such a search, you will be directed towards anyone who has indicated that they are interested in forming new friendships. This includes those who may also be seeking relationships, but it will not include those who are only seeking relationships.

2. As a member, you have the ability to add other members to your contact list as a 'friend'. Once you've added a contact as a friend, you have the option of turning on a 'view' for them. This is a pretty cool feature in that it allows you to control whether other members get to see this person in your friends list.

Your friends list is accessible to other members from your 'banner' when it is displayed in search results. If you have any viewable friends amongst your contacts, the "Friends" link on your banner will be active, thus allowing members to see a list of banners for each friend in your list. Remember, only those friends who you've turned 'on' will be visible as a friend of yours. The usefulness of this feature becomes clear as you begin to explore Joined In Jesus. See the example below.

The above image represents a typical user 'banner' where you will locate the friends link. This link will be active if they have friends who they have made visible to other members. If the link is inactive, it means that they either have no friends listed, or they haven't allowed any of their friends to be visible to third parties.

If another friend, or acquaintance can view your friends then they have the opportunity to ask you to make an introduction for them. If they are looking for a relationship, then you can help make 'breaking the ice' easier by contacting your friend and telling them about the other member who has, or may have, interest in meeting. In this way, you can become a matchmaker of your own. What greater joy than to know you have helped two people meet?

The above image represents the 'ViewFriends' page where you will see a list of member/subscriber 'banners' that represent the friends that a member has listed in their friends area AND that have been made 'Viewable' by third parties. In this example, user 'rfrey' has friends 'jesus', 'dsscheibe8' and 'sheen48'.

Note the "Send" link on the extreme bottom left of each member 'banner'. This link allows you to send a notification to a third party who you think may be interested in this user. So, if you thought a friend of yours would be interrested in user 'jesus' then you would click 'Send' within user jesus' banner to send a referral to a friend.

This just the beginning of this part of the Joined In Jesus community. As we grow, and hear suggestions from our users, you can be sure we'll work to improve all aspects of your membership with us.
